US 4 (3.5mm) knitting needles
- Cardigan is worked in one piece from the top down. The back is worked back and forth to the underarms. Stitches for both fronts are picked up at the shoulders and worked back and forth to the underarms. The three pieces are then joined and the lower body is worked back and forth in one piece to the lower edge. Stitches for the sleeves are picked up around the armhole and the sleeves are worked from the top down in the round. - I f you are using hand-dyed yarn, alternate skeins every two rows to blend the yarn. - Circular needles are used to accommodate large number of stitches.
