maybe you have been trying to download at the wrong place. You cannot download files from the forum called Post new patterns and magazines. This forum is for the moderators check out the files. Theyll see if everything is Ok or if the file is a duplicate. After being checked out, the moderators will move the file to the correct forum. Then you can download the file there. For instance, see if you can download files from the crochet section. To download a file, youll need to have enough gold coins. If the uploader set a higher Read Permission than your level, you wont be able to download the file even if you have enough gold coins for that. Not all the users change the Read Permission because they understand that the higher the Read Permission the less people will be able to download their files.

Oh thank you! I didnt realize I had to click on the file again. I was able to download the file later on my chromebook.

Ive made my first purchase. It is a .XSD file. I have it downloaded, but when I click to open it, I get a message that I dont have an application to open it with.  Anyone with any ideas?  thanks much for any help. I used the search feature and I didnt really get an answer to my particular question.
