Hi,
I’ve been away for quite some time but glad to be back.
I’m after some advice from me fellow cross Stitcher’s.
I’ve just purchased 2 Lowery floor frames, I’m so excited, and now looking at the purchasing frames to go with them. I’m considering either quantum or millennium brands but not getting answers from the suppliers. My questions are

Estimated delivery times. I’ve read some horror stories on the net. Some orders taking up to a year to be received
Are the measurements in the site in centimetres or inches.

I’d love to hear if any members have purchased and used either the quantum or millennium frames and what they think of them. And if anyone has purchased if the goods where received in a reasonable time.

Thanks

Do a search for quantum and/or millenium frames on this site because a few stitchers have given their comments!!!  Youtube also have several videos on both frames.

I have recommended quantum on two posts -
Omanik Quantum frame    http://www.pindiy.com/thread-353001-1-1.html
Jolly Robin - Omanik Quantum frame   http://www.pindiy.com/thread-357503-1-1.html

Omanik ship your order within 3 to 4 weeks after payment.  I found the owner, Anton, very helpful when I sent him an email.

I had nothing but problems and lies with millenium needle necessities.  After several months of being lied to I tried to get a refund - that took about another month on top.

I have a quick question about the side bars. Is the length adjustable depending on how far you screw or do you have to fully unscrew for the frame functional? Thanks again  Post time 2018-1-20 12:12

The quantum side bars operate the same way as the millenium - so yes they are adjustable as far as you can tighten the tension using the inbuilt screws.  The tension is very good.  Im not sure what you mean by fully unscrew - if you need to roll the fabric up or down as you are stitching then yes you unscrew, take the top or bottom bar off, turn and replace the side bars.  the fabric stays anchored in the roll bars.  So then you just tighten the screws again.  Hope that helps.  I found it quite easy to load the fabric as long as you match up centre top and bottom straight edges.  Hope that helps!!!  The videos on youtube should explain better.  Quantum supply two sizes of side bars, I bought both.

I would not give Needleneeds who make the Millennium frame my hard earned money! Their customer service is appalling they never answer the phone or reply to emails and although it says itll take up to 12 weeks to get your frame it could take 12 months or more for it to arrive! Theyre a quality product but a terrible business. Ive only heard good things about the Quantum frames - everyone seems to love them!

Thanks for your advice. After doing a bit more research I’ve gone with the quantum frames. Ordered 2 about 2 hours ago. Millennium frames don’t have a very good reputation. Thanks again  Post time 2018-1-22 18:31
