Confused by pattern

Hi,

I expect I am over complicating it but I am slightly confused by a section of pattern I am trying to complete.

(A.c., inc) sc ( a.c., inc) 3-times

What is a.c? Anyway, you would do ac, inc,sc, ac, inc...that is number one. Then you do the whole sequence two more times. I hope this helps!

A wild guess.....see if your colors of yarn used is abbreviated in the intro (beginning page) of the pattern ...i.e.:  MC (master color) AC (accent color) etc., etc.

Have you figured it out? Im assuming AC = Alternating Color.
