Go to the Free Talk forum and there you will find threads on how to do pretty much everything, as well as how to post.  You can ask questions there for help.

Im new here too.
This site is by levels on you avatar you can find your User group DIY. 1 and there is a progress bar every time you log in, the site give you a reward coins, example when you go to forums and click "crochet patterns" list and you comment and give Thanks for the pattern youll have gold coins!! There are "groups" that you can join  and there is a lot of information!
When you want to buy a pattern you will pay with the "gold coins" depends we how many do you have!! And you can download the pattern!!
You can see how many coins do you have o  "settings/points"

There are lots of restrictions when you are new. Put some posts in the diary section of stuff you have done, and yo will start to build a gold coin fund which you can use to buy patterns. Also there are daily tasks you can do which will also give coins. As you grow you will be able to do more things on the site. You will need to be patient though.....
