Questions about rewards for your uploads being downloaded

Hello,

I'm new on this site, and I have some questions about how everything works.

I have noticed some patterns have been uploaded in multiple .rar parts. Which means you have to download them all to be able to unpack the files. In one case, this meant that I would have to download 24 seperate files of 30 coins a piece, to download a magazine of perhaps 50 pages. At two pages per rar file, this seems very unnecesary, and I can't understand why!

I thought the 30 coins was standard for the site, and uploaders could get coins by having people 'buy' the patterns first before being able to download. Am I missing something, how does this work?

It depends on the size of the scans. If they're high quality scans then they're larger in size. Also certain user groups have a file size limit on what they can upload so sometimes things have to be split into 5mb pieces and others can upload 10mb pieces. 30 coins to the site is the standard for each file downloaded and uploaders get coins based on what they set the price to be.

Thanks for your answer, @Inchmahome, I get it now. Here's to hoping they will reupload after they get more permissions, because damn if I have to pay 720 coins for one magazine I only want one pattern from.

Yes its frustrating, but I guess it depends on the size of the files. Some people upload each pattern to a seperate RAR file so you can just pick which designs you want rather than the whole magazine, I prefer when they do that as I usually only want 1 or 2 patterns!
