repaint patterns are made by dedicated "repainters" who carefully transfer a scanned pattern into a digital pattern. The pattern is transferred stitch by stitch, by hand.
As with anything, there is room for errors, but a repaint will in the vast majority of cases be a perfect copy of the original.
A repaint pattern will be clearer than any scan, and will print perfectly every time. In addition, if you get the full version of a repaint program (available in the Stitch Tips and Tricks section), you can change symbols to match your preference, and also chose which size to print the pattern, if you chose to print it on actual paper. |
