Socks

Talk to me about crochet socks please :)

I know they exist, but what are they like to make?
What are they like to wear?
Are they just as comfortable as knitted socks?
Is there any patterns you would recommend for beginners?
Is it best to make them out of cotton, or it doesnt matter?

Dragonfly, cotton is the best, I heard, but as you know Im a cross-stitcher.:)

They are great!  Use sockyarn for the best pair of socks and  fit.  You can use wool too just use a larger hook so its more stretchy, but i do recommend sockwool.  They are super fast to make and extremely easy. Patterns freely available for socks.

Use a good sock yarn and they will work out great.  I knit my socks and love them
