Man hat patterns

Hello all,

How are we today? I am wanting to make my dad some hats/beanies now it is getting so cold here in Australia but after looking at so many patterns I am stuck at choosing something.

I would like it to be in the round, the thought of sewing it up at the end is very off putting for me.
I do not want it to be plain, as I bore very easily and like things to look nice.
My dad is quite a burly man. Into his body building, motorbikes, cars etc, so needs to be somewhat fashionable in a manly sense LOL.... if that even makes sense?

Any recommendations for me please? I have seriously wasted two days looking and just cant make up my mind at all.
