Hello!
Was wondering if anyone else using your own floss colours instead of those given in the chart?
I use to use sometimes different shades of colours in my charts as I think it becomes more personal. The reason for that is that I purchase local floss brand.

Yes I change the floss if it is from Anchor to DMC, that works very fine and the colours are the same and if not a bit of the colour change doesnt matter. No one have never notice it. :D

Sometimes, it depends on the pattern. With some patterns You will notice because the shadings are so subtle, and even the slightest change or mistake does make things look wrong. With others I have purposely changed the colors because I didnt like the way they looked and thought others would work out better. Sometimes I have even changed parts of the design itself.

I change up floss colors quite a bit.  If I dont like the colors Im more than willing to switch them out.  Its more creative to use colors that speak to you sometimes.

I usually change the colors if its a small pattern or if I dont have the right color code and something from my stash matches it close enough.
