Gauge is not crucial as different yarns will give different results. The model measures 10 inches tall and 26 inches around.
The original uses about 110 g of fingering weight yarn, 35 g each of two solid colors and 20 g each of two speckled yarns. You could work this cowl in just two colors, or in more colors. Thicker yarns would be an easy substitution making the cowl slightly larger. Directions for changing the size of the pattern are included.
