Crochet thread easy to find in United States?

Hello all. I have recently started trying to make amigurumi with size 10 crochet thread (as some of the most beautiful patterns seem to call for it). I thought the size difference would be the hardest part, but I am having trouble finding good resources. The only major brand I have found in my area is Aunt Lydias. If I order online the shipping is a lot. Does anybody have a favorite brand in the US? Im looking for colors and not to bust the bank. Thanks.

Did you try Herrschners?   They do sell crochet thread and have a catalogue.
