pointed or blunt needles?

I like pointed needles but I have some blunt ones also.

I like blunt needles, they dont accidentally split the thread of the fabric

Blunt. I have tried the ball tip ones, and didnt like them though.

I usually use the blunt ones except when I am working on aida cloth and there are quarter stitches to do.
