Cannot change avatar/user image?

I tried to change my avatar by choosing a picture from my computer, and I pressed the green confirm button on the bottom right hand corner, but nothing changed. Is this a problem with my browser/computer? Did anyone else have this problem and how did you solve it?
Thanks in advance! It is not the end of the world if I cant change my avatar, but would be nice if I could :)

you actually should NOT click the Complete button. Very counter-intuitive, but give it a try. The picture also needs to be quite small (in kb), if I remember correctly
