NOTE: This is not a complete pattern, but an add-on to the original Northeasterly. This was sold separately as an add-on to Northeasterly. Unfortunately, they have not been combined into one pattern and remain separate as of this post. Completely customize Northeasterly and make it your own with this add-on pack! Throw in two-color brioche, seed stitch, lace, bobbles, and twisted rib for a textural treat, or to keep your interest. Or, use the modified cast-on and bind-off instructions to square your edges for a more traditionally shaped blanket! The possibilities are endless when you can use as much (or as little) of your fingering and DK weight scraps! Just as addictive (or even more) than Northeasterly! Sizes: Fingering weight (DK weight) to construct 3” wide columns Needles: Double pointed needles or circular needles are recommended if intending to knit two-color brioche, but straight needles can be used for the other textural sections. Gauge Options (unblocked):
Fingering weight: 9 sts and 12 rows=1” on a US size 2 (2.75 mm)
DK weight (fingering weight held double): 6 sts and 10 rows=1” on a US size 5 (3.75 mm)
Note: needles of at least one size smaller are required for two-color brioche. Suggested yarns:
Fingering Weight: Canon Hand Dyes mini skein kits on Charles Merino, Oscar Sparkle, and John Merino
DK Weight: Canon Hand Dyes mini skein kits on William Merino DK and George Merino DK
