These DK weight socks feature a simple lace pattern, heel
flap/gusset, wedge toes, and picot edge. Perfect for curling
up inside to watch the rain.
Instructions are given for the Magic Loop but can be easily
adapted to knitting with two circulars or with a set of double
pointed needles.
Size: 8" around the leg and foot. Will fit an average
womans foot. To make longer or shorter socks, simply knit
more or fewer repeats in the foot section.
Materials:
- 275 yards sport weight yarn. Sample shown in Debbie
Bliss Baby Cashmerino.
- US #3 (3.25mm) needles (either a 40" circular for Magic
Loop, or two shorter circulars, or a set of 4 or 5 double
pointed needles) or size needed to obtain gauge.
- tapestry needle, for grafting
- 2 stitch markers
- a small amount of smooth waste yarn for crochet cast-on
and a crochet hook appropriate for the yarn
- measuring tape, small scissors
Gauge: 24st/4" in circular stockinette.
