March is here and so is Spring!!! OK, we're still at the very start but sun is shining (at least where I live :D)!
There is a tradition in Greece (and I suppose in many other countries, too) to put on your hand a string of red and white thread on 1st of March. Explanations for this tradition are a lot and vary; and we don't have enough space to put them all here! ;P Maybe in another thread...
However, I made an alternative of this red & white string; I stitched some narrow bracelets with red thread on white aida - with patterns from Greek traditional costumes - and gave them to friends and relatives. I even managed to sell some in a museum shop!!! (very proud of it!).
