My dear bsfrog, thank you for bringing up this matter to the forum. I I was not aware of the news last night and searched through internet as soon as I saw your post... Im shocked and deeply sad...:o :(
Notre Dame Cathedral is a symbol of Christianity not only in France but in the world! Its part of worlds culture and heritage bringing more than 800 years of history!
As an archaeologist and no-labeled Christian, it really brings tears in the eyes to see such a piece of art destroyed, the roof and spire collapsed and so many precious artifacts vanished (precious not because of the material from which they are made but because of the energy of worshipping through all these years) - though they say that the oldest and most valuable items have been saved.... Especially when this happens during Catholic Holy Week! Were grateful to the firemen who have struggled to save many of them while in the meantime tried to put out and control the fire so that it will not cause any more damage!
But the most important is that no death has been caused and faith is what keeps our hearts up high!
Love, prayers and positive energy to all who suffer from this loss and trust that Our Lady will very soon be repaired and rebuilt to Her glory offering Her shelter to all people! :$
