Luv gurumi lion pattern problem

Hi,

Im trying this pattern and have a big issue, the head of the lion is big (54 st large) however the pattern for the mane hoodie has only 48 st , the diference cant seems litle but when I dress the mane to the lion head is very small, dont seems like the picture of the lion...

Im thinking of redo the mane but with the 54 st large and adapt the rest of the pattern.
Someone here tried this pattern too?
What do you think?
