Yarns and Hooks:This project is perfect for leftover yarn from your stash – providing that you are using thesame weight for all the yarn. We recommend doing the throw in a DK weight wool, Merinoor Alpaca yarn for best effect. We have used Schachenmayr Merino Extra Fine 120 andcrochet hook 3.5 mm / U.S. E-4Colours and quantities:Each flower consists of 4 colours of your choice and for best effects, you should select a fifthcolour to join the flowers with, when you create the background of the blanket. The fifthcolour, which we call the background colour, should not be a colour that is already used inthe flowers. For 10 flowers, you will need the following quantities per colour:Colour 1: 4 gramsColour 2: 10 gramsColour 3: 20 gramsColour 4: 48 gramsFor the yarn used to join the flowers and crochet the blanket to create the background, youwill need approximately 450 grams of yarn.In total, you will need 1250 grams for the flowers + 450 grams for the background, so total1700 grams of yarn for the throw as we made it and as you see on the photos andillustrations.
