Heres a pattern for scarf (or shawlette) that is super fast, fun to make and funky to wear. It can be completed over several evenings, requires only basic crochet stitches and uses about 400 yards of worsted or aran yarn so it makes a great gift.
The scarves pictured in this pattern are both about 5.7 feet long, but the length is really a matter of taste.
