Huldra features simple Shetland lace accented with beads. It is knitted in 2 pieces and grafted at the center. The lace patterning is worked on the RS only.To make the shawl as written requires 760 beads to fit the yarn. The sample used Matsuno Dyna-Mites in size 8/0.
This design can be easily resized both in length and width. Instructions for these modifications are given in the pattern. The pattern assumes that you have some experience knitting lace and can read charts to this effect. A link is provided to the beading technique.
