When working on your projects what do you use to look at the pattern? Do you still use printed paper copies?
Or have you moved to a phone/tablet app?
Comment what app you use if you use one, and comment why you use what you use.
Im really interested to hear what you guys have to say!

I still prefer paper.   I dont often stitch at my computer.   I guess I like to mark off my paper charts with my pencil crayons.

My kids are now 35 to 17, so not much to do to keep them occupied. Have 2 grandchildren as well. These pencil crayons have been lingering for years.  Post time 2020-1-28 00:31

I stitch by way of lappy computer screen. I would like my eyesight to stick around a bit longer. With the computer I can enlarge the stitches seen to a larger less straining size and both hands are free to stitch with not having to keep picking up the paper. Though I still use that too. Stitchy glasses help a LOT too. When using an .xsd, or .pat sometimes even when the setting is at max its still smaller for some reason. Simply screen shot the part youre working on and use your photo viewer on the computer to enlarge those files to a nice and easy on the eyes size to see.

Thank you for asking the question. I love to see and hear how others stitch and how they have their craft areas set up.

Im a crochet lover, I use as well on paper to write down if I change something, but when Im on the way I use my smartphone... thats easier than paper.
I also crochet in the car, at hospital when I need to wait...

I normally have the pattern openen on my laptop. I use the pdf-XChange viewer for .pdf files and if I work from a chart I use an on-screen ruler to keep track of the rows.

Comments

I went looking today and found a free download for an online ruler. Its great. Stitching is going to be much easier now. Looking forward to trying it out today.  Post time 2020-2-7 02:44
I hadnt heard of Xchange viewer. I just downloaded it. Its better than Adobe. My scanned pattern is much clearer. So, is the on-screen ruler a feature on Xchange?  Post time 2020-2-1 23:28
