Earning Credits

Hey everyone,
Im a little confused on earning credits. Ive got earning the coins down but how about earning credits to level up? Every forum I read about credits and coins seems to only direct me in earning gold coins but I would like to earn credits so I can start leveling up (theres a pattern I want, but can only get it if Im DIY2).

And the formula for points is there, at the top:
Credits: XXX ( Posts×0.1 + Threads×0.26 + Digests×5 + Online Time (h)/1.5 )
