Seraphina Top by Irina Anikeeva (Eng) (Rus)

he wide saddle shoulders of this pretty summer top are worked in intricate cable-and-lace motif.

The body of the top is worked in simple Stockinette stitch with Slipped stitch stripes.

This top is worked from the top down. First, the saddle shoulders are worked flat.

Then stitches for upper back and upper front are picked up along the edges of saddles

and then worked separately back and forth. Shoulders are shaped using short-rows.

Then back and front are joined and the lower body is worked in round in one piece to the lower edge.
