Tips on cross stitching big designs. I am thinking of doing a "haed" and I have cross stitch for 30so years but not on the scale of haed. I have mainly done dimensions,Eva Rosenstand and similar patterns . Do you have to go line by line or can I do one color then change when I want. any tips or advice will be helpful. Thanks everyone and stay safe and healthy. :)

Well, my best advice would be to do something smaller!  Im always amazed by the HEAD designs I see people do here.  I dont think I could do that!

Try one of their free designs and see how it goes.  I dont think it would be easy on 25ct over one with full cross.  But I have done petit point on 40 ct. gauze in a continental (half cross)
and really enjoyed it.

I do think starting small is the best way to go about it. That way if its not for you, you havent paid out for a big project that will not be finished.  Post time 2020-4-6 23:28
Take a look at their website or on here for their free patterns and see if there is anything that interests you. Give it a go.  Post time 2020-4-6 00:43
