Hexagon shapes make the most of the gorgeous color runs in Noro’s Silk Garden in the Creekside shawl. A garter stitch border blends all the colors together for a finished, polished look. This is a perfect layering piece for fall, or for relaxing fireside when winter winds are howling. Silk Garden is so soft and has beautiful drape making it comfortable and lovely to wear.
Hexagons and half-hexagons are knitted flat (back and forth in rows) and are joined to each other as you go or, if you choose, knitted separately and sewn together later. You can easily knit a hexagon in an evening. The pattern includes a handy spreadsheet for tracking hexagon segment rows. It is so much fun to watch the progress and the colors on your needles.
