Do any of you experienced stitchers ever like the full look of two strands of silk on 40 count linen?

Ive tried it before, but thought it looked a little too bulky.

It depends on the project. I only made 2 on 40ct because I cant see it very easily (lol), but on one I wanted the colour fill to be very tight. Otherwise, I would only use one, because it does stick up a bit and I think it can distort the fabric a little.

I was thinking the self same thing. I use only 1 thread on 22 count over 1.  Details Reply Post time 2012-3-31 00:56

I find it too bulky. I prefer using just the one thread.

I usually use just one too, unless it was a very simple, uncomplicated pattern, then maybe 2.  But if it has a lot of colors and details--only 1
