I love knitting and crocheting. For me there is nothing nicer than sitting up half the night, all comfy and cosy on the couch, armed with needles and fabulous wool, working out new patterns. The great thing about it is that your mind and hands are kept busy, and you end up proudly producing something that is really special. It is both relaxing and stimulating at the same time. Throw in a chat with friends and a pot of tea or coffee, and new items of clothing or unique home accessories begin to take shape in next to no time. I have giant needles I inherited and Ive used them for some basics but wanted to broaden my horizon. Now its full steam ahead on new ideas and projects.
