The hat is knitted in the round, starting with a tubular cast on. Instructions are given for a stockinette stitch or a ribbed stitch version. Both hats have a folded brim, the stockinette version comes with a round crown and 4 pronounced decrease lines while the ribbed version features a pointy crown finishing. FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Brim folded: circumference 20.5” (52cm),
length 9” (23 cm), resp. 8.3” (21 cm) for stockinette stitch version
As the tubular cast on an ribbed brim is very stretchy, the hat will fit teens and adults, with a hat size from 52 - 58 cm. Instructions are written for DK yarns but easily adjustable for other yarn weights. You will need approx. 165 yds / 150 m. It’s a quick knit and a good option for last minute gifts.
