Its because youre using Chrome. Newer Chrome builds (over 86) dont support downloads from sites that use a certain protocol, and unfortunately thats the case here. Downloads will work just fine, if you switch to another browser (like Firefox or Edge). If you dont mind, you can try using a download manager too, like Internet Download Manager, uGet, or Xtreme Download Manager (I personally use Internet Download Manager - it has a 30 day trial, but there are trusted scripts on Github that can reset that). Previously changing Chromes settings or hitting F5 when the download window opened helped, but its useless after build 88, which was rolled out this past week.
Please note that though your previously purchased attachments are bookmarked in iBooks, they are only free for 7 days after you bought them (not counting the 30 gold download fee, thats something youll always have to pay).
Also, please use the search function before you open a new thread. This is a well known issue since mid-November when Chrome started to roll out the new policy, there has been several threads which discusses the topic. |
