Berroco Fossy Hat & Mittens features four animal charts to mix and match using Ultra Wool DK. You want to knit them all for the baby or child in your life. Berroco Ultra Wool DK is a 100% superwash wool yarn thats a real workhorse! This yarn has a wonderfully soft texture in a superwash wool with a wide range of colors to appease even the most discerning palate! The intarsia pattern is in chart form only.

SIZES
Directions are for children’s size 2/4. Changes for sizes 6/8 and 10/12 are in parentheses.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Mittens: Approximately 3 (3½, 4)“ across hand x 7 (8, 9)” long.
Hat: Approximately 16½ (18, 19¼)“ around x 6 (7, 8)” high (not including pom-pom)
YARN
BERROCO ULTRA WOOL DK (100 grs): 1 ball MC each for Mittens and Hat and small amount of each color shown
For Lion: #83103 Wheat (MC), #83115 Bear, and #3829 Butternut
For Zebra: #83158 Rosemary (MC), #8300 Snow, #8334 Cast Iron, and #8310 Alyssum
For Giraffe: #83139 Verbena (MC), #8329 Butternut, #8334 Cast Iron, and #83115 Bear
For Elephant: #83145 Sour Cherry (MC), #83109 Fog, and #8300 Snow
For All: #8334 Cast Iron or black embroidery floss for details.
NEEDLES and NOTIONS
Knitting needles, sizes 4 (3.50 mm) and 6 (4.00 mm) or size to obtain gauge
1 set double-pointed needles, size 6 (4.00 mm) for thumb
4 stitch markers
Waste yarn to hold stitches
Tapestry needle
Optional: Bobbins and a 2” pompom maker
GAUGE
23 sts and 30 rows = 4” in St st on larger needles
