The download tax of .30 GC, is it per pattern download or per file download? I thought it was per pattern download but I just downloaded a magazine (12 files downloaded) and was charged .30 GC per file download, plus .30 GC for each failed file download - a total of 380 GC. There was no attachment charges on this magazine, just tax charges. Has it always been this way or is this new?

The site charge is 30 gc per each file, rar or PDF, you download. Except .xsd and .pat which are repaints. Those the site charges 199 gc to download. Plus whatever the sharing member charges. It can add up quickly.
LOL ... you only have 49000 GC ... what are you saving them for :):) Live a little. Just being silly a bit -- I am thrifty with mine as well. Files are size limited, so magazines etc. have to be broken up into parts and there is a charge for each part. You shouldnt have been charged for a failed download. It goes into your ibook and you should be able to reload it for free for (i think i read) a week
Most all of the cross stitch magazines have any files unless the original PDF is compressed before making the rar file and then it takes off one or two. :-)
