New prices for files...

Hi to All!

Lately , We had lot of complaints about "prices".... They were very high...  At this moment Our users can ask for their files :

Lv.7 max  333
Lv.8 max  333

Thank you for making this change.  It is great to see mods listening to their users.  If I would have thought of this (I never think of stuff like this until too late :) ), I would have suggested that the amounts be reversed, so that the people at the lowest level earn the most for their posts, and the higher levels earn the least, therefore getting the lower level people elevated faster.  Ether way, I still thank you for listening!  Yeah!

I have been a member for a long time, and while these are the max prices a person CAN set doesn't mean it smart to do so. This isn't really about how much the any pattern is worth real currency, but of how of what is the sweet spot for generating the most downloads for that particular pattern. So setting if a price of 50GC might get you 50 downloads = 2500 GC, but 150 only gets you 10 = 1500 GC, you end up with less in the long run. For people in the lower evels of membership, 150 GC can be priced out of their range, and they will opt for the more affordable options.

I'm so glad to see this some of the patterns are outrageous. I believe when a pattern is bought as a whole is should be a whole pattern as well I see a lot of patterns that I look up that are sold as a whole pattern being split up here like you have the doll then the wings that go to the doll and then the pumpkins that go to the doll and they are all being sold separately and for a high price for each. Just my opinion there has to be a balance somewhere. But still glad to see this

Hi,
I think that limiting the prices has been a great move.  I have run across a couple of patterns like this one, Hands Across The Sea Samplers - Anne Thomas 1854, where it is broken down into five sections.  The price to download the pattern would be 370 gold coins.  So, my question is the 333 gold coins the most that can be charged for any one pattern? or is the breaking the pattern into sections creating a loophole?

I just downloaded a booklet "Simple Shapes"  that was listed as four sections at -60 points each...however, it appears afterwards to have taken double.  and some of the sections are duplicates.   Yikes.

Hopefully my question is not off topic... when checking the price for a pattern, I get the info that price is 250 gold coins and download cost -30. However, when a pop up window with the cost opens up, I can see that the actual cost for a download is 175 (income pay). Can anyone please explain? Example I mentioned is "Green Frog Crochet - Thuy Anh - Đặng Thùy Anh - Ariel" crochet pattern. Thank you.

I do because some of the prices are crazy and then how everyone is separating them it's just i don't even have the words I've even been looking at the free patterns and going to the website where they are free so I'm not waiting gold coins on free patterns seems silly
