Hi, this is one of mine. Please keep trying at different times of day. The server is unreliable, especially with larger (book sized) files; this one is 25mb. Feel free to PM me directly though, if youre stuck. By the way, it is a really good book, havent found ANY others so far to cover double-knitted lace!! This is its first release on the high seas as far as Im aware.

MODS: Is there a way to add more attachments to a post? I could break up the file into a multi-part RAR with smaller size (cheaper) chunks, as a fallback. The rar parts would assemble into the original PDF when extracted. Not everyone knows how to do that however, but it could be better than nothing. Failing that, I could open a new post with the alternative rar format but that would create a duplicate... and as I said, not everyone knows how to assemble multipart rars. For example, on my phone, I need to find a third party app in the iOS App Store to do it, and its still not easy. (I dont think compromising the quality of the book by reducing the photo quality to low to make it a very small file size is an acceptable alternative for a sharing site, personally. No other sharing site has this issue. How is the new EbookBBS server with book sized files?)

EDIT: I guess I could just submit a new post with both the original file and the multi-part rar, and report the previous post as a duplicate? I have a HEAP of other great knitting books and magazines Id like to share here, as knowledge is SO important especially for those who are disenfranchised, but having already experienced mods deciding the problem with the large book files was the quality of my file rather than an established server issue, Im honestly not sure if its a project that suits this site? (You have a whole section dedicated to "cant download" - but thats a server issue not a file quality issue - the quality is completely independent of the download UNLESS the file name has special characters which clash with a users particular filesystem, which is usually not the case.) A lot of the books I have are scans of a paper copy, or epub->jpg->pdf+ocr such as commonly published on many non-Western craft websites, so the files are a lot larger at the same perceived quality than a "native" PDF like the "Double Knitting" book which comes straight from the designer. Also, possibly due to being established in 2009, you dont accept epubs which are often a small size and also a very common native ebook format these days (and some patterns too) - and epub to pdf conversions are usually substandard. Is it okay to .zip these? Let me know if you have some solutions for this - I understand if you dont have the time to address this, and the focus on this site is on individual patterns with small filesizes, in English, which are much harder to find elsewhere.

Just checking - was this Recycled threads pattern in Italian? It was flagged as a duplicate with an Italian translation version.

Hi @turquoise,

I was told by one of your moderators called Jaguar to report an issue with a pattern here.

The download link for this pattern is not working.

https://www.pindiy.com/thread-630488-1-1.html

I paid 70 coins and when I try to download the pattern I get a blank page which times out. I tried using a different browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Brave and Safari) but I am NOT able to download the pattern I paid for.  Something is wrong with that download link. It took my coins but no pattern. Please help!
