A direct quote from The Litte Hook website:
Established in 2018, The Little Hook Crochet is the place for super cute original amigurumi designs and essential crochet supplies for your very own amigurumi adventure.
We also have beautiful finished crochet dolls outfitted in knitted garments (from our Etsy shop Bubbles and Bongo, established in 2015) on showcase here if you are looking for a meaningful gift for a very special person.
What happened here is that the original brand, Bubbles and Bongo (with Erinna as the crochet designer) branched into two. Now, Bubbles and Bongo is selling finished dolls only, and TLH (still with Erinna as the crochet designer) took over selling all patterns, old and new, while also selling finished dolls and supplies. For example, Louis the Duck was conceived under the name Bubbles and Bongo (as it is stated on the pattern itself), but now it is sold on TLHs Etsy and website, most likely under the new brand name. This is the very reason we keep both names, since they have a sizeable overlap, and it helps both new crocheters to find the old designs, and old crocheters who might not know about the new branding.
Amigurumi.com is absolutely irrelevant here, as it is just another platform where designers can sell their patterns, like Etsy or Ravelry. It has nothing to do with the designs, designers or brands themselves until they come up with their own line of patterns.
As for this being Russian roulette... sorry, I didnt quite understand what you mean by that. Did you find any duplicates? If so, please leave the links here, or at least the titles of the threads, so we can check them. (Also keeping both names help us not getting so many duplicates)
For the downloading and uploading problems, there could be several reasons. With uploading, the most common problem is the location. Diaries (pictures of your own works) go here and patterns and books go here, regardless of the type of craft featured. Its impossible to create new threads of these types anywhere else. With downloading, please keep in mind that theres an extra 30 GC downloading fee on all attachments on top of the attachment price (eg. the attachment costs 100 GC, so the total price will be 100+30=130 GC, to there are two attachments, one costs 100 GC, the total price will be 100+30+30=160 GC). Make sure you have enough coins to be able to download all attachments you want. Some attachments might have higher reading permission set on them too. To check if thats the case, please hover over the attachments name. Your reading permission is 80 as a DIY1.
