This thread was declined as a duplicate, but it is not. The pattern is for the scrunchie pattern "b." (it is marked with red circle and arrow). The second one is for pattern "a." (also marked with red circle).
There is the same photo for both patterns from author, so thats why they are marked.
(And the names are different.)
