Saudade, an elusive word for the presence of absence, is not easily translatable to other languages; it is a Portuguese concept of deep emotional longing, nostalgia, and melancholy.
Another design inspired by intriguing words, this pattern combines all of the things I love about knitting: lace, beads, and cables. This shawl is my classic short row crescent, worked from the top in one piece, and presented with three size options, Large, Medium, and Small.
