Hakemieke
hi, A lot depends on how you fill the amigurumi and or if you use the same quality of material.. crochetting faster or loose... all this together makes you a different shape of results.. Thank you Hakemieke for your contribution, but what you say does not apply here.
No matter how "personally" you knit and fill, a circular shape with 30 points (body) can never be thinner than one with 24 points (head), and never 8 rows can result in 5 rows high. (Chick data).
If someone else wants to contribute and to understand what I am saying, I suggest taking crochet and yarn and doing some tests.
