A Minnie Mouse of 50 Centimetres tall?
And you want to know how much yarn to buy approximately?
Hmmmm, that is a question that is though to answer.
It depends on many details: Hook size, how thick the yarn of your choice is and how much metres there is in your ball/skein of yarn.
So there is almost no answer to your question. But....
My personal advise would be: Start looking at a NICE pattern first.
When you look up all the crochet Minnies patterns, there is a lot of difference out there!
If your chosen Minnie is not 50cm, then you crochet your pattern with thicker yarn+hook! Then Minnie gets bigger.
A pattern that makes a doll of 25cm high with hook 2mm - will make a doll of 50cm high with hook 4mm.
And if a thread of yarn is hooked with hook 2mm you can hook with 2 of those threads at the same time with hook 4mm.
And last but not least: Buy a bit of yarn more than you think you need.
Leftovers for a Minnie Mouse can be turned into:
crochet hearts, a little ladybug, little flowers and a little shoulderbag for your Minnie.
