you can go to your preferred section and scroll down to just above the new images. Click on "more" and then post time. This will show only the newest threads for that section.
Yes, sometimes (even if you select by "More" -> Order by: Post Time") first of all, you see designs "fixed in the top".
And only after them really new in terms of loading time, but sometimes - just new ones.
"Post Time" - the time when the user created the post, not the time when it was verified and has become available for viewing.
Also if a certain thread has been made a digest or stick time it become among the first but if you scroll down you will still see the new or recently approved threads.

Clicking "latest" organizes the patterns by the latest reply not the latest thread. I see the latest threads by unclicking the image box and then clicking "more" and choosing "post time". Then I look at the dates the threads were created. This way helps me find the last of the "fixed" threads at the top of the list.
