Number 5 of my fathers hobby.
This is a typical tourist boat in Amsterdam.
In Amsterdam there are a lot of low bridges. This boat can pass almost all of them.
With this boat you can make a tourist tour through the city of Amsterdam.
What a Patience to make this so detailed. What is he doing with the ships who are finished? Do you have a big showcase in your livingroom where you show them? It would be a pity to put them in a box on the attic. ( Translated by caro1970)
A lot of patience! But he likes to do it. The most difficult is finding pictures of a ship you want to make. Sometimes you only have a few pictures from far away with no details.
No ,we dont have a large showcase in our livingroom, but we do have them hanging on the wall.
We have 12 ships hanging and standing in the livingroom.
Upstairs in a bedroom there a 3 more. And on the 3 rd floor there two more and a bridge.
Making showcases for al of them is too expensive.
We now just clean them a few times a year with a soft brush and a small leaf blower.
But he cleans them outside....
Remember, when you use a leaf blower, you blow your dust from one place to another.
So when you use it inside the house, your dust will stay on another place in your house.
And why its a man tool???? We ladies can use it too! ;P
