This is a steering cabin.From here you steer the ship.
This cabin can go up and down.
This one is specialy made for containerships.
The higher the containers, the higher the cabin.
So you can see where you are going to,and see what happens in front of you.
Note,the last two pictures are the creation of my father. The rest is to show how it works.

To me it is like a tow truck for cars, but for containers and stuff instead. I think I saw something like that offshore in front of La Palma Island but it was empty and used as a rescue ship. Anyway, going to check
