Why cant we rate more?

I generally dont rate posters that are charging me for their uploads; if I am paying 50 - 200 coins for their chart, I dont feel the need to offer them more. But I DO rate the posts of those who dont charge anything beyond the standard 30 coins. However, because I am a level 6, I can only offer them 6 coins.

It doesnt seem fair that some posters will make thousands of coins because they are charging, but those who are kind enough to provide great charts for free rarely get rated. I used to be able to rate a poster more than once, but that doesnt seem to work anymore so all I can give them for their kindness is 6 coins. I think those people are entitled to more.

**I want to add: Ive been here for a long time, and I am comfortable coin-wise, so I dont charge for what I post. Being rated is not as important to me as it would be for someone newer, who could use the coins that we might want to reward them with.

I agree.   Those wanting more coins charge that much more.  I avoid if I can downloading for extreme prices.  Unless its really special I pass.
I do however charge a smaller amount for what I upload to be fair to newer members and to be more charitable.  For many buying extra coins is not in their budget but the generosity of sharing what we do have
for everyone.
And yes I would sometimes give more than just the 7 coins I am able and yes I can no longer give 14, 21 etc. to someone that deserves more.

Many members also find freebies on the internet, magazines and the like, and because they can, charge upwards of 150 cg and more when they should not be allowed to charge any more than any other freebie 10 gc max. Taking away ones ability to do with their rating coins what they would like to do with them isnt right at all. Many shared finished works do deserve a higher rate sometimes. I also have given more then my level when its deserving. If there is a reason for taking this particular privilege away I wish they would say what that is.

As someone who has had very generous ratings for their Stitch Diary posts, I feel very mean for being able to give only 2gc for all the lovely finished works I see.  Id love to give more.

oh I never know before you can give more than 1...Im level 1 so I only can give 1, shame cause I read in a thread that we have a free 20 coins to rate with.
