Do the tasks! Usually the daily ads one gets you 500 (though its not working today for me, hmm). Replying, posting, and generally interacting with users helps too

complete the hourly bonus (everybody and level) as often as you can, leave comments, this also helps add up time spent on pindiy which also helps increase you DIY

I am also having an issue getting into the app for the 500 coins since Jan. 18. If logged me out and when I try signing in it wont do anything :(
