Question: Where do you start your stitching?

In the middle, and then to the nearest large block of one colour.  I tend to work out to the left hand side from there.

Mostly in the middle. Not exactly in spot, but nearby, where dark colour is.

It seems to vary from project to project. Closest to the middle that makes sense (large block of color).

I always start from the mid-bottom, and then it all depends. If a small tapestry then guide me color and if the a large tapestry color and then row heights but also the length of the thread. In any case always the mid-bottom

In the middle normally or as close too. If theres a large area of one colour thats where I normally start :)

Previously I have always started in the middle (just like my Momma taught me!) but Im getting ready to start my first big piece and I am really considering starting in a corner, like others here have mentioned.  Seems like a lot less handling that way

Usually the middle, but sometimes from the top. Depends on the project

As a rule, I start from the right-bottom corner and move either to the left or up, it depends.

Hmm... I havent done many projects, and Ive started them all differently. The last one I started in the middle - it was a large project for me, my soluble pen had dried out, but I really-really-really wanted to stitch, so it was easy to start in the middle. :D

Wherever strikes my fancy! Most large projects I start in the top left but smaller things I start with whatever color I vibe with that day :)
