Question: Where do you start your stitching?

Wherever strikes my fancy! Most large projects I start in the top left but smaller things I start with whatever color I vibe with that day :)

I start somewhere in the center with the most prominent dark color and work outwards this is most important when the picture has a border or when it is large as you want even tension. I have found working this way my finished work is always straight. All cross stitch patterns are designed to be worked this way as it is the easiest method to find the center of the fabric and the center of the pattern.

I start on the bottom left.

At the top left hand corner, after Ive stitched up grid-lines and placed the work in a frame with tension on it.

I start both in the center or at the top left. It depends on the pattern and the fabric.

I hate stitching upwards. I would rather spend extra time drawing grid. Left corner and down works best for me. Grid makes it easy to count.
