Question: Where do you start your stitching?

I always start in the middle.

I use to only start in the middle of the design.  The newest start, however is a MamaB Design and I started in the upper left corner of the design (Pg 1 of the chart).  I always hoop or use scroll bars and my floor stand.  And have never ever gridded before...the whole idea kind of scares me.....hehehe ;P

I dont grid either... Sounds like to much hard work to me.... I always stitch freehand... Never use a hoop etc., Seems like we all do things differently.... but in the end the result is the same.. A wonderful piece of handwork to add to our collections....:)

Usually I start in the middle, but also tried at the top left corner (I am right-handed and try to avoid touching the finished parts).

I, too, stitch in-hand.  I always start in the upper left corner, work left to right and top to bottom.  I roll my fabric as I go along.

It depends on how big the project is. For smalls I will usually start in the middle. Mediums either in the middle or if I have gridded it Ill start on the top right. For larger projects I will almost always grid and start at the top right.

i always start in the middle on big projects when using a table stand but on smaller projects i start with the darker colour as stitch without a frame. I have never heard of gridding :$

I start in the middle and work out to the left...usually doing the bottom left first from the middle if that makes sense.
