This pattern provides instructions for 5 different sizes:

Newborn-6 months: approx. 14-16” in circumference
6-12 months: approx. 16-18” circumference
12-24 months: approx. 18-19.5” circumference
2 4 years: approx 19.5-21.5” circumference
4T-adult: approx. 21.5”+ Circumference

Each size has seperate instructions, so there’s no looking at stitch counts in parenthesis!
