This lovely generously sized shawl can be knit either as a triangle or as a rectangle. Two shawls in one pattern.
Yarn weight: Lace
Needle: US 6 - 4.0 mm
Gauge: 16 stitches and 22 rows = 4 inches in stockinette
Yardage: 1000 - 2200 yards (914 - 2012 m)
Size: Your choice - LARGE TRIANGLE OR SQUARE
The charts and written instructions are designed to present one panel of lace, with the option to knit a triangle by repeating each panel twice, or a square by repeating each panel 4 times.
Because the start is a little tricky, the first two charts (A and B) are shown for the triangle and then for the square.
After those charts have established your version of the shawl, the remaining charts (C-F) are given for both, with instructions on using the written instructions or charts to make a triangle or a square. If you are (using) more than one skein of yarn , it is prudent to alternate skeins of hand dyed yarns, as skeins can vary quite a bit in color.
